
Making Decisions in Pregnancy
You have a choice all the way through your pregnancy/labour/birth and postnatally. Sometimes women think well why would I question the tests/care I receive clearly there is a rationale behind it. There is a decision making tool that all health care professionals are aware of when they are consenting you for any procedure, something as small as a urine sample all the way up to a caesarean section. This decision making tool helps you understand what is right for you, not the general population but individually in your pregnancy.

B.R.A.I.N breaks decisions down to everything you need to know, this works outside of pregnancy too just to help with practicing! By mastering this it can really help when you are making decision later on in pregnancy and during labour/birth where decision making can sometimes come with a time restraints. You can also use this in the newborn phase when baby is being offered their own screening pathway or even when they start the vaccination process.
